This week in the news, the second-life beta grid is full of voices! Not just skype with a mouse in one hand, it’s an immersive, 3d experience using spacial audio to let you know WHERE people are around you.
Embedded VOIP features include voice chat groups, new animations and automatic gain control. The voice-enabled client is due out in April. We’ll continue to cover this story in future episodes - since it’s a topic everyone will be ‘talking about.’
Thursday March 8th in the Hollywood sim, new sailors and old sea dogs took to the open water to test their mettle at the races, which occur every Thursday and Sunday. Not all mariners actually COMPLETED the race, but clearly had fun getting wet.
Sony will be releasing the beta version of Home for the PS3 in April. I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome our future neighbor into the metaverse.

Best second iteration GR so far. And just after a 4 day ScreenBurn streaming marathon (I'm impressed)! Can't wait to try out voice in SL.

ROFL. The Trent-Skyla-Noob singing trio is definitely the highlight of this show. And the Irish jig puts it over the edge.
